Subusers and activity

A subuser is someone you invite to help run your server. You choose what each subuser can do, from only watching the console to managing files and backups.

The person you invite needs a SwiftServers account with their Minecraft account linked.

  1. Open your server, then Manage, then Subusers.
  2. Click Invite subuser.
  3. Enter their Minecraft username. For a Bedrock player, start the name with a dot, like .Steve.
  4. Choose their Permissions. Each group has a short description. Give only what they need.
  5. Click Send invite.

The invite shows as Waiting to accept until they accept it on their dashboard. Withdraw invite cancels it.

Click a subuser to change their permissions, then Save permissions. To take away their access, click Remove subuser. They lose access at once.

Subusers can never:

  • Change the plan or spend the owner’s credits. Credits they spend come from their own account.
  • Add or change custom domains.
  • Transfer the server or give someone more access than they have themselves.

Subusers see your Minecraft name, never your email address. You see theirs the same way.

Manage, then Activity, lists everything that happened on the server: starts and stops, commands, file edits, backups, new subusers and more. Each entry shows who did it and when. System marks things the panel did by itself, such as a scheduled restart.

  • Search finds an action, a person, a file name or a command. Searching “started” finds every start.
  • Who, What and When narrow the list to one person, one kind of action or a time range.

The activity log never shows IP addresses.
