The SwiftServers lobby

The lobby is the shared server every player can join at play.swiftservers.org. It’s where players find public servers, vote for them and wait while a server wakes up. It also has minigames, fishing and seasonal events.

  • The compass in slot 1 opens the server browser. It has tabs for All servers, your Favorites and Recent servers, plus sort, search and a random pick. Servers whose owner hasn’t linked a lobby icon show an oak sign.
  • /join <name> sends you to a server, and starts it if it’s asleep. You wait in the lobby until it’s ready.
  • /browse <name> searches servers by their name or their owner’s name, asleep ones included.

Only public servers are listed. Servers in private mode are hidden, but /join still works for them.

Once your Minecraft account is linked, the scoreboard shows Your servers and whether each one is online. From the lobby you can start your servers, and /create gives you a link to create a new one in the panel.

Run /sw on any SwiftServers server to open the network menu. It has your friends, recent servers, a player finder, privacy settings, the network rules and Manage my servers, which controls your servers without opening the panel.

These work for everyone. Some lobby perks, such as flying with /fly, need a lobby rank.

/pvp opens the duel menu. Pick a player, a kit and an arena, and they get a challenge to accept. Quick Queue in the same menu matches you with the next player who joins it, with a random kit (never Elytra Mace, which you have to pick yourself). Hover over a kit’s name in a challenge to see what it holds.

Kit What you get
Classic Iron armor, an iron sword, a bow and arrows
Sword Diamond armor and a diamond sword, with no healing items
Axe Diamond armor, an axe, a sword, a shield, a bow and a crossbow
Bow Chainmail and an Infinity bow. Only arrows do damage.
UHC Diamond gear, a bow, golden apples and golden heads. You don’t heal on your own.
Pot Diamond gear, healing and speed potions, and ender pearls
SMP Netherite gear, a totem, a shield, golden apples, ender pearls and potions
Mace Netherite armor, a mace, a stack of wind charges and a totem
Elytra Mace Netherite armor with an elytra, a mace, rockets, wind charges and two totems. Swap your chestplate on just before you hit: the mace only smashes with your wings off.
Spear Iron armor, a spear that lunges, a sword and a shield

You lose when a hit would kill you or you fall out of the arena. A totem in either hand saves you once. Leaving the lobby or using /spawn during a duel counts as a loss.

Each vote counts toward a server’s place in the lobby, and gives the voter 10 credits once every 24 hours.

Server owners can reward voters on their own server. Open the server, then Manage, then Perks & voting, and add commands under Reward commands. Instant commands run as soon as the vote counts. Join event commands wait until the voter next joins your server. Write {player} where the voter’s name goes, for example give {player} diamond 1. Each stage holds up to 20 commands.
