Startup settings

Open your server, then Manage, then Settings, and click the Startup tab.

Performance profile

The profile decides how Java manages your server’s memory. A different profile can reduce lag spikes. Click a profile, then Apply. It takes effect at the next start.

Profile	Best for
Original	The SwiftServers default. Good for most servers.
Aikar’s G1GC	Recommended by PaperMC for servers with many players.
Balanced	Conservative tuning, a safe middle ground.
ZGC	The lowest lag spikes. Needs Java 21 or newer.

If the server gets worse after a change, go back to Original.

Startup options

Startup settings lists the options your server software reads when it starts, such as the build or loader version. Each one saves as you change it and applies at the next start. Options marked Read only are managed by SwiftServers.
